Caving at the Wasden Caves in January
For January we decided to go exploring caves instead of a campout. We went to the Elephant Hunter cave and the Wasden Caves just outside of Idaho Falls. Brother Lloyd took us out there as our guide and helped us all have a lot of fun that day.
If you look closely you can see Cylers snake stick!
In the first cave we found some aliens :). Just Kidding. There was a lot of graffiti but it was still pretty fun.
Inside the cave the moisture in the air condensed on the rocks which looked like diamonds glued to the ceiling. Pictures don't do it justice.
We then moved tot he Wasden caves. This is an area of 3 crater like caves with pictographs and where several archeological digs have been done. It was a little tricky getting into the 1st one though.
you can see our 2 cars in the distance.
This cave was really cool... after we evicted the pigeons :).
This was a really fun afternoon. Thanks to Brother Lloyd for taking us out there!
Building the "Rig-a-bam-boo" Klondike Sled
This year we decided to totally re do our Klondike Sled!
We attached a Snow machine Ski to the front for steering. Complete with a shock!
Easton discovered fire! :) We used this to whip the ends of the rope.
I think Hans is the only one that can fit inside
The painting of Red and Gold..... and Purple too.
Ready for the competition
Special Thanks to Brother Wessel who let us use his shop and donated all of the materials!!!! We couldn't have done it with you!
