Here are the Pictures from the last Fundraiser Campout. Sorry it took so long to get these posted. We had a great time and worked hard at this fundraiser. The boys were tasked with removing some Fencing around Bro. Balls Grandparents cabin near Henrys Lake. They worked pretty hard and also had some fun. Special thanks to the Ball family for all their support. Also to those Dads who came up and worked with us. We could not have done it without you! Well lets get to the photos.
Here are these fearless muscle men waiting to rip out some fence. Well sort of :)
After about 5 or so matches the 11 year olds got the fire going. It took some time to figure out how to light that match though. They got it down and we were finally able to get warm.
We stayed near the last patch of snow around. The boys planted this stick for some reason.
That Saturday morning was perfect. The clouds looked like a blanket across the valley.
The boys made quick work of the fence posts. Some pulled out easily and some didn't. We didn't have to motivate these guys much. They just worked hard. I was proud of their work ethic. Smiling the whole time.
Mucci, kept saying he was running on "Bacon Power". Ha ha. He got really good and beating the posts out with the hammer.
Alex and Braden were the loading the trailer like pros. I got them to stop for this picture. Watch out ladies. These muscles are real.
I think Bro. Peterson is at home in the tractors. He drives these things like its an old Cadillac.
I was grateful to have these older boys come up. They took out an entire section of fence without any problem.
We also had the "Kammerman Crew". They made quick work of the large sectioned fence. I think they were competing to see who could throw the railroad tie sized logs the furthest. Glad they came up to help.
Thanks to all those who came and helped. We dropped off most of the wood near by for the memorial day weekend campers. Bro. Floyd said he was up there recently and all of the wood was gone, so I guess it got used. We raised enough money for high adventure and scout camp with these two fundraisers. We have some great young men in our ward. I was reminded of one the quotes from President Monson:
"It is not enough to want to make the effort and to say we'll make the effort. We must actually make the effort. It's in the doing not just the thinking, that we accomplish our goals. If we constantly put our goals off, we will never see them fulfilled."
Well done young men! Well done.
